Photo Submission Example
What makes an ideal photo submission?
As a promotional platform, we have the flexibility to showcase properties in a more editorial and lifestyle-driven way. Our goal is not just to show what a property looks like but to convey how it feels. We want to highlight its unique features, capture the experience of staying there, and tell its story in a way that resonates with potential guests. When someone decides to book, they are then directed to the property’s website to obtain the more detailed information about rooms and amenities. When photographing a property, ask yourself, what makes this place unique? How can I capture the experience of being here? What lighting best enhances the space? Your images should create a mood, evoke emotion, and make viewers imagine themselves in the space.
What do we love about the photo submission below?
-
Optimal Lighting – The photos were taken in the early morning and evening when the light is softer. This enhances the space, highlights architectural details, and adds depth through natural shadows.
-
Variety of Orientations – There is a good mix of horizontal and vertical shots. Vertical images work well for social media, while horizontal ones are essential for websites and promotional materials.
-
Comprehensive Coverage – Each room and area was captured from multiple angles to provide a full representation of the space.
-
Wide & Detail Shots – There is a variety of wide-angle shots to showcase the overall space and close-up detail shots to highlight textures, design elements, and unique features.
-
Consistent Color Story – the cohesive color palette throughout the photos helps create a visually appealing collection that feels intentional and professional.
-
Creative Composition – the use of architectural elements like windows, mirrors, and framing techniques added depth and artistry to the photos.
-
Personal Touches – Subtle lifestyle elements (e.g., a coffee cup on a table, children looking out over a deck, or a shadow in the frame) add warmth and authenticity to the images.
-
Sufficient Quantity – The minimum submission is 40 images, however submitting additional photos increases the likelihood of extra promotion by us, selection for future photography projects, and potential sales of image usage rights to properties.
