What types of properties can join?
Our collection includes Bed and Breakfasts, Boutique Hotels, Vacation Homes… and pretty much everything in-between if it aligns with our philosophy and design aesthetic. We seek properties with a story, crafted with heart and intention. Places that inspire. Places that honor their environmental and social footprint. Every stay in our curated selection is more than just a destination; it’s an experience.
What does the membership include?
Membership includes a custom property listing with direct links to your booking site and other marketing channels.
How do I purchase promotional services?
Only properties that are part of The Collective which have been photographed by our team gain access to promotional services like social media posts, newsletters, and editorials with a straightforward fee per service.
How does the booking process work at SURŌ?
As a membership-based platform, SURŌ eliminates the middleman, fostering a more direct and meaningful connection between guests and the properties they choose. Travelers can explore our curated collection through an interactive availability calendar, a Destinations map, or our themed Collections page.
Once they’ve discovered their ideal stay and confirmed its availability, a simple click of the BOOK NOW button seamlessly directs them to the property’s own booking page. This ensures the best possible rate while allowing guests to personalize their experience—selecting specific rooms, adding bespoke offerings, and communicating directly with the host for special requests or modifications.
Do you charge booking fees?
Unlike traditional booking platforms, we don’t charge commission or service fees, just a monthly membership fee for the property listing.
Can I manage my own listing?
Yes, property owners can manage their listing through the dashboard. Before any changes go live, they must first be approved by an admin.

Properties that meet our photography standards are eligible for a basic listing on our platform. Once professionally photographed by our team, your property becomes part of The Collective—a curated group of trusted and verified accommodations. Membership includes exclusive benefits:

Photography & Hosting
When is photographer hosting required?
All submitted photos will be reviewed by our team to ensure that imagery is aligned with our brand aesthetic and consistent throughout the platform. In the case submitted photos are not approved, the property will be required to host one of our vetted professional photographers to create new imagery for the listing.
Our Calendar Sync and internal messaging system make it easy to coordinate a visit. Properties can set their preferred hosting windows—such as only during shoulder season—but remember, the sooner your property is photographed, the sooner it can be listed! It’s also beneficial to schedule the shoot when your property is best showcased.
What if my photos are approved?
If your images have been approved, they align with our brand aesthetic and are ready to be featured on our website. A member of our team will then complete the final steps to take your listing live.
Can we hire our own photographer to take new photos instead of using a SURŌ photographer?
Properties are welcome to use their own photographer and submit the images for review; however, approval for the Property Listing is not guaranteed.
How does photographer hosting work?
Properties are required to host a photographer if their photos aren’t approved, however properties with approved photos can also opt to host a photographer to become part of The Collective. In both cases, our Calendar Sync and internal messaging system make it easy to coordinate a visit. Once the photographer has visited, they will send us the photos to select for the listing, which is the final step before it goes live.
Why does the photographer need 2-3 nights to take photographs?
Our photographers visit not only to capture your property but to fully experience what makes it unique. This time allows them to study the natural light and shoot at the most optimal moments. It also provides flexibility for unexpected weather conditions and ensures seamless photography around other guests, especially for Boutique Hotels and Bed & Breakfasts.
Do we get to use the photos taken by a SURŌ photographer?
Yes! Each property receives approximately 10 images for use on social media, with the requirement that both the photographer and SURŌ are always credited and tagged.
If you’d like to use the images for your website or other purposes, extended usage rights can be purchased for an additional fee.
*all photos taken by our photographers are exclusive to SURŌ and cannot be shared on other booking or travel platforms.
May I join The Collective at a later time if my photos are approved?
Yes! Any approved property can opt in at any time to become part of The Collective.
